Guinea pig - Hamster is the cutest rodent

The cutest rodent. You don't need to go out with him. Guinea pig: maintenance and care are so simple that even a child can handle it. Guinea pigs are not hamsters, they live a long time. In nature, pigs are strictly herbivores; they are absolutely devoid of aggression. Unlike a hamster, a guinea pig can be picked up without fear of being bitten. This is important if the rodent is intended for a child. Guinea pigs live in large colonies; they are social animals that need communication. In the absence of relatives, the pig becomes attached to the owner, recognizes him, and can respond to a name or a conventional sign (tapping fingers, whistling). Clean, no smell. Only a cage can smell if it is not taken care of regularly. A healthy pig does not need to be bathed or brushed, unless it is a long-haired breed. The average life expectancy in captivity is 6-8 years. A huge advantage of guinea pigs is that they are awake during the day and sleep at night. Keeping a guinea pig alone should be considered animal cruelty. A lonely pig moves little, eats more and has a shorter lifespan.
If you are not ready to keep two pigs, don’t get one. A lonely animal will never be happy; guinea pigs are too determined to communicate with their own kind. After all, in nature these animals live in colonies.
If you provide a pig company with decent living conditions, the animals will delight you for many years with their cheerfulness, interesting habits and good health.
